Davis County / Utah County 2nd Quarter 2016 Home Prices
Both Utah County and Davis County continued their upward trend in the 2nd quarter 2016. Median sales prices were up and homes sold a lot faster than the same time last year. Davis County Another strong quarter for Davis County single family home prices saw the median sales price climb 11.60% to $267,000, which were the biggest gains across Salt Lake, Utah and Davis County. These price increases were driven by strong home sales which climbed 6.74%. Homes also sold fast, really fast, taking a median of just 8 days to go under contract. Utah County Utah County returned another strong quarter with median sales prices returning a 7.55% increase, with the new median sales price for a single family home now standing at $285,000. All this was despite a drop in the sales volume, which declined slightly, dropping 1.69%. The median number of days it took to put a home under contract dropped over 40%, taking just 13 days, which while not the single figure levels seen in other counties, still points to a very strong sellers market.
